Program of the Fair 2010

 

Festival opening of the Fair

 

The Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic Jakub Šebesta and the Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic Přemysl Sobotka will open the Fair on Tuesday, April 27th  2010 at 10.50 a.m. in the foyer of Industrial palace. Then the representative of the Czech Wine Fund will open the Day of wines from the Czech Republic.

 

The first day April 27th 2010 – Day of wines from the Czech Republic

The first day of the fair is traditionally focused on domestic, before all Moravian wines. This day proceeds under the protection and coordination of the Czech Wine Fund. After the festival opening of the fair at 10.50 a.m. the visitors will be invited to the domestic exhibitors. Presentations promoting domestic wines will traditionally proceed on the stage and in the stand of the Wine Fund  and conference centre.

 

At 15.30 a.m. The winners of the Competition for Golden Cup of the Fair Wine&Spirits 2010 in 12 categories will be announced. The first prize, Prize of the Premier of the Czech Republic and Prize of the Minister of Agriculture will be awarded personally by Minister of Agriculture Jakub Šebesta.

 

 

 

The second day April 28 th 2010-Day of wines from FRIULI

The second day is devoted to the wines from Friuli under the protection of the Chamber of Commerce (Azienda speciale Imprese e Territorio – I.TER, Camera di Commercio di Udine). After the festival opening by the prominent representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and other Italian representatives at 10.50 a.m. the visitors will be invited to the national exposition of  Friuli in the central hall. They can get here information about the excellent wines from Friuli and taste them as well.

 

At 1.00 p.m. the professional tasting of wines from Friuli (MASTER CLASS) for journalist, sommeliers and professionals will take place on the tasting area on the 1.floor in the right hall.

 

At 4.00 p.m. the Concert of wine and delicacies called Consonance of wine and smoked salmon takes place in the 1st floor of right hall. White wine from the cellar Chateau de Tigné from the well known actor Gerard Depardieu will be offered.

Famous personalities from the sport will be in jury. Ticket costs 1000 CZK.

  

At 5.00 p.m. the festival announcement of winners from the Concert of wine and delicacies will take place as well as the charitable auction of archive wines on the podium with famous television moderator Mirka Čejková. You will be able to taste here some of auctioned wines. The ticket costs 500 CZK.

 

 

 

The third day April 29th 2010 – Day of wines from South Africa

The third day is the Day of wines from South Africa. The wineries here are well known for red wines as well for high-quality white wines. The day will be under the protection of Commercial Department of South Africa in Prague; Mrs. Ambassadress Celia-Sandra Botha will open the Day at 10.50 a.m.

Then the journalists, professionals from gastronomy and visitors will taste the wines and delicacies in the stand number 36 - Company SAWE. South African Wine Emporium.

 

The professional program of Days is written on the boards in front of the hall
